Coombs Family Farms - Review & Giveaway

Okay, so I am not sure if I should admit this...let's hope that M and B's dentist isn't reading:) My kids LOVE pancakes; they love them so much that they both eat one almost everyday and what's a pancake without syrup? Thanks to Coombs Family Farms our whole family was able to try out so organic maple products! We received the Pure Maple Syrup, Pure Maple Sugar, Pure Maple Candy (.75 oz maple man version) and loads of maple recipes!

As soon as I poured that first drop of Maple Syrup on M and B's pancakes, you could just tell a difference (maybe that's because I always buy the light syrup, but this was thick and smelt wonderful.) I gave it to M and B and sat back and watched...if you know my children change is a hard thing for them to go through

. Sometimes it is welcomed with open arms and others it's like pulling teeth; this time--the arms were open and they both devoured the pancakes and wanted seconds!

The Pure Maple Sugar is used as a healthy alternative sweetener...so what did I do with it? I used it on my banana bread and was it delicious! And so easy to us

e. I was a bit nervous about replacing my regular old white sugar with this hearty Maple Sugar, but it turned out better than I would have imaged.

As for the little Maple Sugar Candy Man--I haven't gotten a chance to eat it yet. I am saving it for Thanksgiving:)

Munchie Mug - Review & Giveaway (2 Winners!)

Okay, so I just want to shout this from the roof top--I LOVE MUNCHIE MUG!! We were given the chance to try this one of a kind spill-resistant snack cup and I couldn't have been more pleased.

We have other "spill-proof" cups for M and B and still it seems the goldfish, pretzels, whatever end up on the floor of my kitchen, living room, car. The other guys have plastic tops where the little treats can sneek by, but not Munchie Mug! The 2 layers on top seal around your toddlers hand allowing no fish to swim out.

The Story of Christmas - Review

The Story of Christmas by Gwen Ellis
Illustrated by Steve Smallman
Ages: 4-7
Put out by: Thomas Nelson

Based on the International Children's Bible, The Story of Christmas is a great book for young children. With it's mini chapters (broken down the way the Bible is), it's simplistic language and wonderful illustrations, what Pre-K/Kindergartener wouldn't love it.

M's favorite part of the book is when the wise men bring gifts for Baby Jesus. It reads:

One day they (Mary and Joseph) had visitors who came from far away in the east. These visitors were wish men. they had followed a bright star to find little Jesus. They bowed down and worshiped God's only Son and gave him expensive presents of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

She always asks what frankincense is though:) and can never quite say it correctly.

I also like that there questions to ask your little one on every other page. (IE. the question from the above passage reads: Why do you think the wise men came to see little Jesus?) M doesn't always get it, but sometimes her little answers are so much wiser than her age it amazes me!
